Working one-on-one with a teacher is the best way to facilitate personal growth and transformation. That’s because we tailor the practice to your needs, your body, and the specific things you want to accomplish in your practice.
Private yoga may be for you if:
You’ve never done yoga.
You have a busy schedule and can’t attend group classes.
You want to work with one person who can really see and understand your body.
You don’t like or feel lost in group classes.
You want to work on specific poses or practices.
You’re working with an injury or other condition that requires special care and attention.
When you work with me privately we’ll develop personal goals for your practice, focus on movement that feels good in your body, develop methods to quiet your mind both on and off the mat, and open your heart in a safe and incremental way. We’ll also design a simple home practice for you to follow in between sessions if you wish.
I firmly believe that private yoga can reduce chronic pain, increase flexibility, and relieve tension in a way that group classes can't. Unfortunately it's prohibitively expensive for most of us. For that reason I offer private lessons on a sliding scale. It is my hope that by offering privates on a sliding scale, you'll be able to take advantage of the benefits of working one on one with a teacher.

Sessions can be scheduled at my home studio in Brooklyn, at your home or office, or via video conferencing. Small group, corporate, and event rates are also available.
